Don't go by BMTH
I was raised in the valley, there was shadows and death
Got out alive but with scars I can't forget
This kid back in school, subdued and shy, an orphan and a brother and unseen by most eyes
I don't know what it was that made a piece of him die
took a boy to the forest, slaughtered him with a scythe
stamped on his face, an impression in the dirt
do you think the silence makes a good man convert?
we all have our horrors and our demons to fight..but how can I win when I'm paralyzed?
They crawl up on my bed, wrap their fingers round my throat
is this what I get for the choices that I made?
God forgive me, for all my sins....
God forgive me, for everything...
Don't go, I can't do this on my own
Save me from the ones that haunt me in the night
I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight, don't go....
If I let you in, you'd just want out
If I tell you the truth, you'd vie for a lie
If I spilt my guts, it would make a mess we can't clean up
If you follow me, you will only get lost
If you try to get closer, we'll only lose touch
You already know too much, and you're not going anywhere
Tell me that you need me because I love you so much
Tell me that you love me because I need you so much
Tell me that you need me because I love you so much
Say you'll never leave me because I need you so much
Don't go..........
Three teenagers have been jailed for life for hacking a camping companion to death with scythes.John Sawdon, 17, Jermaine James, 17, and Rebecca Peeters, 16, were jailed at Sheffield Crown Court for killing Terry Hurst with two large agricultural scythes.
The teenagers inflicted more than80 wounds on the 17-year-old during a camping trip at Broomhead Reservoir, near Sheffield, on July 19, last year.
The trio of killers left the largest scythe embedded in Mr Hurst's neck.
Mr Justice Andrew Smith said: "Your offence was chilling. You found him in a tent and set about him mercilessly. He couldn't escape."
The court heard how during the camping trip the trio had dragged Mr Hurst out of his tent wearing just his boxer shorts and socks.
They dropped bricks on him and stamped repeatedly on his head.
Prosecutor Peter Kelson said: "His head had been stamped literally into the ground leaving a discernible, measurable impact on the ground.
"He was found wtih the metal blade of the large scythe through his neck and up into his head and left there."
Mr Hurst, who was fostered at nearly two-years-old, suffered from learning disabilities.
His foster mother Audrey Hurst said: "For the past eight months his horrific murder has been with us night and day. The total disbelief of it all will take a long time to sink in, if ever."
Det Supt Kevin Hardy said he had no idea what made the three teenagers kill Mr Hurst.
This song is about Terry Hurst who was Oli's friend and people murdered him
You do realize John Sawdon is Olis Cousin right...
ReplyDeleteIt's chilling to know that friends can turn on you like that. We don't know why they killed that boy. But for all we know one of the trio had forced the other two to kill him. It kind of makes you wonder if you can trust anyone. Oh and Oli Sykes suffers from sleep paralysis. It explains the "we all have our horrors and our demons to fight..but how can I win when I'm paralyzed?
ReplyDeleteThey crawl up on my bed, wrap their fingers round my throat
is this what I get for the choices that I made?"
I never understood that line except for lucid dreaming that happened to me it was horrible but i never understood it
Deletethis story is so sad...
ReplyDeleteAll we know is that Oli suffers alot of pain if he's singing this on stage and he gasps or stumbles to the ground or doesn't want to finish the sentence it is because it is hurting him he can't take it i saw an interview where he said "don't worry i don't want to kill myself" But you could just see the pain in his eyes and if your wondering why he said that. That was because of the song Written in blood.
ReplyDeletei feel soooo sad for olis loss i just got into bmths music so i just learned about this i send my regards to the hursts loss
ReplyDeleteSo the song is about Terry Hursts' murder, but the lyrics: I don't know what it was that made a piece of him die
ReplyDeletetook a boy to the forest, slaughtered him with a scythe
stamped on his face, an impression in the dirt
do you think the silence makes a good man convert?
are obviously about Oli's cousin so is the song more about Terry or John's act?
Id say its more about John than Terry...
DeleteActually, the lyrics "an orphan and a brother and unseen by most eyes" was Oli referring to Terry. The rest of it was referring to his cousin John murdering him. When he said "I don't know what it was that made a piece of him die" he's in disbelief that his cousin could be capable of something of that magnitude, and he feels like his cousin had to have something die inside of him to make him do something like that.
DeleteDon't go....
ReplyDeletethis is horrible...
ReplyDeletethe story i mean... oli is srsly my hero. these lyrics are incredible and somewhat scary to me in a way.
DeleteYou could hear the emotion in oli's voice when singing "don't go".
ReplyDelete,,tell me that you need me because I love you so much" can you tell me what is the meaning of this?
